Marcus Padley is one of the reasons I have switched half of my super into a term deposit for 90 days to keep on the sidelines. He was talking recently about the amount of risk for little gain there is in the market as a whole and how his fund was parking safe money for a while (I think he said 6 months) to see how things panned out. He admitted the fund could miss out on some gains and look foolish but just didn't like the risk return at the moment.
Of course there are stocks that you are happy to be in even if there is a market movement downwards and PNV I believe is one of those.
