I was having a chat with a plastic surgeon yesterday about BTM vs integra specifically in children.

was a really interesting discussion about a recent burn where they used both integra and BTm on same patient.

outside of the things we know about BTm being more resilient to infection and cheaper to produce ect.
one of the considerations in this patient was the “speed of integration”
it sounded like in this surgeons opinion integra may integrate a little quicker than BTM and that in children that’s important so they can graft earlier.
important because sometimes there is not much graftable skin available, and grafting earlier means that the grafting site can heal quicker (so it can be harvested again)

now with future developments this may be a non issue if prof greenwood can get his growable skin to work

but I’m curious on any legit opinions from in here.
