At the time Integra acquired TEI Biosciences in 2015, the Boston subsidiary now subject to the recalls, its President and CEO stated:
“We are enthusiastic about both TEI's product development and commercial expertise, which accelerates our ability to establish an immediate presence in the diabetic foot ulcer space."
Some time on and they have well and truly stuffed-up. As a result of the recall, it is has become much easier for PolyNovo to establish its own presence in that space and, hopefully, to eventually become the dominant player.
