I've only been talking about buying on uptrends. There are many other approaches. Contrary to what you say, and as mentioned yesterday, I'll often buy on lows, usually when the stock has had a major correction, entering at an inflection point which signals the beginning of a new uptrend.
Then there is stock selection a whole new story in itself and the key to successful trading.
Missing the gains. Never seeing the top on uptrend buying. Not correct.
Strong gains more likely to flow as a stock matures and becomes more profitable.
I'll always see the top on up trend buying because I'll always buy at the top.....keep buying as it reaches new highs.
Good on you Fez I'm amazed that you've become vaguely interested. I see that as real progress.
