I can only speak for myself of course, but if I knew my time frame was only 5 years I would only put my money in fixed income. That's just not enough time when it comes to stocks, it really isn't. It feels like a lot but if it was as easy as putting your money in for a few years and getting a 10-15% p.a return (or more) then everyone would do that. You might get lucky and get a quick winner, but you might also get lucky betting on black.
