In my opinion it goes something like this. And it is actually not my opinion it is my wealth creation strategy, philosophy, approach and application. When I invest money I target 9 - 12% and my timeframe is 10 years as a minimum. The target is well established and mature, larger cap business which has more than 75% chance to deliver 9 - 12%. When I invest money for 100 - 10,000% growth return, I use small cap, up coming business that has potential to return 10,000% and my timeframe is 20, 30 and even 50 years. Evaluation of the timeframes are reviewed regularly, but the equities in the 9 - 12% return range are rarely sold. They deliver. The equities in the 100 - 10,000% return range, are also regularly reviewed. Some are sold usually at the loss because it was a wrong call and they lost their appeal. Some are held at the 10,000% return and price of $4.00 because they look like a great call, and they still have great appeal. If we are not happy with the 12% return we should not be investing in companies that in short term look like they will give us 10,000% return. To cut the long story short 10 years is the minimum for investing in growth, but chose your investments with care. Hope this helps. FLIESH
