Yes but when institutions short 1 million of their 100 million shares, they take losses on their 1 million shares but gain on the other 99 million shares they hold
Only retail buy & sell everything & it's the retail traders they like to target
Shorting is an important part of the market & if done properly I have no issue with it
It's how you build a larger portfolio without the need for a significant increase in cash flow
