OK, I've been in the business for a pretty long time, so I'm happy to give my opinion. You're asking a reasonable question, but of course nobody really knows how big the market will eventually be. I can tell you though that I regularly help operate on patients who can benefit from Novosorb, as in several times per week. Whatever the market is or was for Integra, Novosorb is far more versatile. The burns market is only 10% of what this can be used for. Flap grafts take hours where we take a piece of full thickness tissue with its blood supply and rotate it around to cover a defect. Its a long and careful dissection. Novosorb makes that redundant and will reduce the time and cost by I would say 75%. A 4 or 5 hour operation becomes 1 hour or less. All the disabled people with infected pressure sores can now be treated far more effectively. Then there's trauma, old scar reconstruction and contractures, and probably diabetic and venous ulcers. In quite a few cases Novosorb really looks like the ONLY option that's left for a crippled 90 year old with a huge sacral sore down to bone, or the kid with exposed bone and tendons on their leg.

I'm interested in your comment ' old scar reconstruction', as I have one and have seen many people with a deep scar after a skin cancer has been excised. Do you think that the old scar could be erased by re-opening the area and using Novosorb or is that a fanciful idea?
