The immediate approval is for BTM to be used in a study to test its efficacy in the treatment of deep burns.
That study may result in a subsequent FDA approval for BTM to be used for such treatment.
But note that In the rest of the world BTM is already approved for and used in the treatment of deep burns.
Will a USA approval increase sales greatly? I don’t think so. The big money spinner and growth market is with its use in surgical applications outside of burns treatment. But you never would knock back extra sales from burns.
As Jevalent has posted, the next big FDA approval is actually for Hernex.
