Search for Wyckoff method, read everything you can.
Japanese candlestick theory is good to know too.
Momentum and mean reversion strategies are worth being aware of.
Most of the other stuff is overly complicated extrapolations of the concepts from the above areas. Keep it simple, that seems to work best. I see other peoples posts who do so with great confidence but I can't make heads or tails of their analysis and reasoning behind their conclusions. That doesn't mean their wrong though.
Be weary of anyone making claims of predicting future prices. Beyond support and resistance it's anyones guess. Understanding the here and now is much more useful and exploitable.
Technical Analysis is as much an art as it is an understanding of psychological science and economics, but being able to read a chart is invaluable as an active market participant.
