Professor John Greenwood continues with his work on developing Composite Cultured Skin (CCS).
His latest paper, Scale-up of a Composite Cultured Skin using a novel Bioreactor Device in a Porcine Wound Model, was published last month in The Journal of Burn Care and Research.
In this paper he reports further use of his two-stage strategy – BTM implantation followed by application of BTM seeded, bioreactor-generated pieces of CCS - to close large wounds in a large animal model.
