Jake Milbank, a survivor of the 2019 Whakaari/White Island Volcano eruption, opened up about his journey to recovery after sustaining burns* across 80% of his body. Surgeons were certain Milbank would develop infections due to the severity and opted to utilize NovoSorb® BTM. To their surprise, Milbank did not incur any infections during his recovery. Jake is now focusing on gaining movement back and is optimistic about returning to normal life due in part to BTM's “cutting edge” technology.
