As I said before a lack of understanding who runs a business a lack of understanding how public companies work.
First; A chairman giving forecasts during an interview on Bell Potter on youtube would be an absurd place to release new market information. Second; Guidance would require making a statement to the ASX pre-open; not some rambling interview which is more of a marketing exercise. Third; a lot of companies do not provide guidance as they can get punished if they miss it. Giving guidance above what is currently in the models of the analysts would cause a re-rate only to be pounded down if the guidance is missed. There is little benefit and hence why a lot of companies don't do it unless they are extremely confident in exceeding current projections.
