Spectral AI, PolyNovo Team Up to Deploy DeepView System in Australia

Spectral AI Inc. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with global medical device/burn wound therapy developer PolyNovo Limited to deploy the DeepView System on a limited basis in Australia.

PolyNovo will support Spectral AI’s application to the Australian Special Access Scheme (SAS) for deploying up to two DeepView Systems at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Alfred Hospital, both in Melbourne. This initial deployment will provide a foundation for the DeepView System's eventual commercial roll-out Down Under based on clinician evaluations and experiences.

The Australia's Therapeutics Goods Administration introduced the SAS in recognition that circumstances exist in which patients need access to certain medicines, medical devices, or biologics that are not already included in the Australian Register of Goods.

Spectral AI’s DeepView System is a predictive device that offers clinicians an immediate and objective assessment of a burn wound’s healing potential before treatment or other medical intervention. The image processing algorithm employed by the DeepView System uses multispectral imaging that is trained and tested against a proprietary database of more than 340 billion clinically validated data points. The DeepView System is non-invasive and cart-based, allowing for mobility within the healthcare setting.
