The European Burns Association Congress was held in Helsinki in September. There were participants from around the world and more than 360 abstracts were presented. At the time, it was noted that a couple of abstracts relating to BTM were presented by Dr. Marcus Wagstaff.
What wasn’t picked up was that a plenary address, given by Dr. Tina Palmieri on the opening day of the congress, also related to BTM.
Dr. Tina Palmieri is assistant Chief of Burn Surgery at Shriners Hospital for Children, Northern California, as well as Professor and Director of the Firefighters Burn Center and the Burns Data Coordination Center, both at the University of California Davis.
