"It is the value at an instant in time agreed on by only two parties - the seller and the buyer of the share parcel at that instant". That statement says it all as far as I am concerned, well put! No difference to the wording in many valuations of private companies and businesses I have been involved in over many years, it is what the seller is prepared to accept and what the buyer in prepared to pay.
If you don't like the daily fluctuations in the market value then don't look at it.
I am a confirmed long term holder, been with this stock since the 90's, it is one of many stocks I hold and is truly a long term proposition, I am not in love with it, but recognise its potential. I understand it fundamentals and I applaud its management. I have read the postulations on market cap and agree with all. As I have said before patience is required.
