One could say that since it was discovered in 1873 and has 4 significant mining operations occur in it 144 year history that the "Exploration play is over", has been over for a long time (?). After all in the 70’s, Mt Bonnie had a quoted resource of 480,000t grading 7.67% zinc, 0.4% copper, 1.8% lead, 186.0g Ag/t and 1.5g Au/t. Then in the early 80’s a pre mining reserve of 100,000t @ 8.0g Au/t and 230g Ag/t before commencement of open cut mining by the Henry and Walker Group Ltd. After which it’s been held by at least 6 other companies from the mid 90’s till now. All of which have stuck holes into it, albeit PNX has finally done more than most. No one denies that there’s a resource (yet to be undated to current JORC standards), but is PNX corporately hamstrung? So far the market seems to agree. Keep subscribing to the capital raisings (?), better to wait (?).
