As a QLD Paramedic, IMO I cannot see a POC device being utilized by ambulance services. We would never make the decision not to transport a patient experiencing potential cardiac chest pain on a negative initial troponin result. Just being realistic...the funding required to supply a device to each ambulance unit IMO could not be justified when it would not alter the decision as to whether the patient was transported or not. Still a true supporter of the technology and the direction we're heading though!
