actually jackpot, you are on the money here, it is an obvious option and I don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned here before.
imec are funded by EU consortiums, who have recently invested to make europe self sufficient and competitive with everything semiconductor. They are putting large money into it, and not happy sitting behind USA and Asia. So yeah, I think they should be thought of as the obvious contender we hadn’t thought of….
