Coming home late I've only just seen it, a disappointment for me.

All the talk of big production from the main zone at L44H-D2 (which I was always cautious on) was just talk, and they didn't mention the poor cement job before or that they had the oil/water contact 80m into the zone (maybe they didn't know until the test). imo Hartley's show they have less idea than I do with their comments on the expected production from L44H-D2, and also missing the fact that the hole would have to be cased through the main zone to allow for testing/production from the lower zones. As POE point out and long termers know going open hole has worked best so far.

It's not that bad but I was hoping they would at least get something from under the main zone and that the horizontal at NS5-D1ST would get a higher flow rate than NS5-D1. I still wasn't sure they would test the main zone at L44H-D2 if one of the lower zones flowed say >1,000 bopd.

You can also see how careful they are when talking about water, this would be my #1 concern with CVN that for example one or more of the wells start watering out which is common with volcanics.

Maybe just a case of drilling some sub-optimal locations while waiting, and there might be something from the high risk L33-3.
