When you look at it the $AUD is a pretty good bet right now. Gold is certainly a good bet but the Ozy banks are in good shape and the currency is strong. One of the reasons our dollar is strong is a lot of cash flowing into Australia and buying Oz dollars. Been looking at buying gold and 10oz bars seem to be the cheepest and you can get free storage in Brisbane. I wonder why the U.S. dollar isnt much lower than it is now? There still printing 80billion p/month. Staggering our total debt is about 1 months printing. CYPRUS It seems as far as I can gather accounts under 100,000 EU will not be taxed, but the Cyprus banks are closed till tuesday. CONSPIRACY THEORY The international Money Police (IMP's) bought about this Cyprus collapse to get their hands on all the crime gangs money in Cyprus banks, you can say the same about Greece/Italy as well as Sweeden and they have made previous attacks on the Swiss accounts over the years but so far have failed.
