    Of course the price of gold is relevant to ABU.

    If the A$ price of gold is $2000, if ABU manages to mine and sell 50,000 ounces for the rest of this year, that is $100 million of revenue. If they manage to mine 100,000 ounces, that is $200 million of revenue.

    Given Old Pirate is going to be a low-cost open cut mine, the cost to ABU should be under $1000 per ounce.

    Result - a price of gold at A$2000 equals huge profits for this company,

    Assuming the mining license gets granted, of course.
