Yep ! Great Cobar was closed many years ago after copper markets collapsed after the First World War and while working was considered one of the richest in the country.It now holds a lot of water but the rich ore body was not mined out.Drilling over recent years around and under the Great Cobar has found not only copper but also an endowment of the other Cobar minerals including Gold.It will be very interesting to see what is there after access from underneath is established and the plot drilled out.I dare say,Copper will rank well among them.
