ABM presents on the Tuesday (this Tuesday).

Maybe we get some fresh interest, preferably from longer term buyers. Last year ABU moved from below 4c as Darren presented at the Diggers and Dealers in Aug to 6.5c at the start of Oct before the whole sector began to tumble.
Would be great if we see a similar move, preferably without the sector tumbling afterward this time!
Part of that move was most likely not related to the Diggers though because the whole sector was going up but that only backs up the seasonal pattern where July-Sep is reported as traditionally the strongest qtr in the year for the gold sector. Considering how far it’s been beaten down this year and the potential bottoming we are seeing, we may see some big gains ahead for the sector over the next two months. See chart attached which shows the consistent pattern over the last three years. In 2011 the rally continued much longer through to Dec. We have had much greater falls this year so the potential is there for a larger rally and/or a longer one going beyond Sep.
