This view shows that we're lucky to have the 2 decent downhill holes (left). The other holes (right) go too deep under the mountain, so are unrealistic to get at, considering their grades. The downhill holes do not have grades competitive with the shallows in the pit (lots of yellow), but they're shallow enough (running parallel to surface) that they might still work.
But they'll need to drill test beneath these holes, as there's no data there to show whether there's more there so South pit can be expanded to include them. As they run parallel to surface downhill, then without more intersections in the South pit direction, they could be more viable for the Valley pit design (or to merge the 2 pits). See how Red could expand the Valley pit, or green could expand the South pit, or just both combined. These downhill holes give decent odds of the 2 pits being at least partially merged.
The 2 downhill holes are: 265m @ 0.5g/t. 252m @ 0.5g/t. Practically from surface, and then running parallel to surface. The company normally show a 0.3g/t grade resource shell, so I guess 0.5g/t can work, if shallow. I think the old South inferred resource is 420 Koz @ 0.4 g/t, so it might help the numbers a bit.
