    I will emphasise that in 1963 the price of gold was fixed, hwoever the 60 year cycle still exerted its influence on the Barron's Gold Mining Index commencing late 1963. Over the subsequent years from late 1963 into early 1968 the BGMI went up over 6 fold increase
