Thanks for the thoughts and agree one Troponin test wouldn't be enough and that yes you'd want to know the reason for the symptoms irrespective.
A good POC test for an initial triage and then further ones over time would mean hospital ED's could more accurately juggle their triage queues etc.
1st world countries are generally quite fortunate in that large in hospital testing machines are available to most of the population. Then you have developing countries with large populations many hours from a large hospital and an accurate stable POC Troponin test would see a lot of use in dr and nurses hands in these scenarios IMO.
Probably banging on about the Troponin test a bit much as it would be just one in a number of tests available on the device if it indeed makes it to market, which recently referenced Philips job advertisements strongly suggest will happen.
