The ABC television program, Landline, had a segment on the demand for decent internet out in the sticks.
They showed what one company was doing in building point to point wireless networks.
There also seemed to be some dissatisfaction with whatever service the NBN is providing via satellite.
I am not sure where NTC fits into this picture, but if nothing else, it illustrates the keen demand there is for decent internet in rural areas. Just like for everybody else they need it to conduct their business and the lack of a reliable service tends to concentrate the mind on how to get one.
