I suggest Ridd's assertions were disproved by climate scientists who could cite peer reviewed studies that refuted his claims.

Ridd's assertions were then taken up by noisy pseudoscience and conspiracy sites who had their own agenda-- hint-- backed by Fossil Fuel companies wanting to cast doubt on climate change so they could continue making money from fossil fuel sales.

If Ridd has something of substance it would be acknowledged, reviewed and published in mainstream science journals but that never happened because his work was not of an acceptable standard.
