Isn't this just the standard notification for public comment and objections, similar to those that get put up here for everything from footpath realignments to building permits?
Uh, no. It is a clear advancement in the approval process for the LAMP. I think AELB is saying they will listen and apply valid concerns to the temporary/probationary period that is the pre-license phase. But public comments are bound to a form and no promise to meet or discuss concerns raised is set in the procedures. That procedure gives little room for feedback or debate so approval seems to be approaching based on this. AELB can hear and act on a concern, but they have no obligation to do so. They choose what to hear and decide what to say on those matters. That makes approval a near formality at this point. This is not an invitation to debate the way AELB phrases this.
