Whole heartedly agree, Mahlon. In my opinion the third dot point of GGG’s vision statement (in your above post) supports this statement.

The EU currently imports 100% of it’s REEs - 90% - 98% from China- depending on the information source. Whilst Greenland is now no longer a member of the EU, Denmark still is. The EU wants to decrease it’s reliance on Chinese REEs and have said it is potentially a strategic defence issue to have this kind of reliance on China into the future. This part of the picture still has to play out. It’s in the EU’s interest to have the polar Silk Road as Chinese imports will be cheaper due to reduced shipping costs and it’s in China’s interest to keep and expand their exports into Europe. I think negotiation is probably happening right now.

However you may be further pleasantly surprised to learn. That isnt GGGs vision. Thats actually Shenghes pledged dedication they published and presented.
