I am not defending anything but if Thompson has done the wrong thing....charge him
If he is found guilty punish him like any other.

And who exactly should be doing this? The Police need a complaint to be lodged, the DPP need a brief to allow them to proceed. Advantage labor!

The state police, it seems, aren't even sure whose jurisdiction it falls into.
