Now I know why I was stopped a month or so ago on the freeway for travelling about three kms over the speed limit. Fortunately, due to my extreme patience (I was 'interviewed' for half an hour), I was not charged and given a caution.
Only dimwits would believe this nonsense, emanating from the Police hierarchy:
'Mr Hill(Road Policing Command Assistant Commissioner) said the strong stance on low-level speeding was being taken because 15 deaths and 300 serious injuries could be prevented each year if drivers cut their average speed by just 1km/h.'
