According to Malcolm Roberts we are breaking new ground on civil control. Maybe he should ask the descendants of the Germans and Italians how they feel about internment in Oz. Perhaps too ask those whose ancestors were isolated on islands around Oz with leprosy. etc.....
Then there are the days not too long ago where you had your name and address printed in the newspaper for all to read, because you had broken a civil or criminal law, gone bankrupt, how you had failed a public service admission test, how poorly you scored in your junior or senior exams, been indentured into an apprenticeship. etc.
