It isn’t an American thing? I didn’t suggest that.
It is similar to what went on with the Arab Spring but it isn’t the same, a show of discontent by part of the less affluent yes.
The circumstances are a bit different, the political aspect of the USA is different to those Arab countries and our understanding/knowledge based on the freedoms of press gives us a bigger (a lot bigger view) of what is happening in the US compared to what we saw with the Arab Spring.
I don’t support the elephant or the donkey and see the options put forward for their upcoming elections as as good as what I’ve seen in my lifetime, not much chop.
Their system doesn’t seem that good to me but most election systems have faults and it is better than most One State systems or Dictatorships.
There are some checks and balances and it is a form of democracy.
