Why? And would she have wanted to go to the police station if she had killed him?
It would be more likely the Indonesians would frame a couple for murder than to admit one of their finest tried to rape a drunken Aussie woman and died in the process.
There have been rapes and murders of tourists in Bali in the past that were never reported in the press.

Far as I'm concerned, it would be fit and just to break a bottle over the head of a rapist, cop or not, and if he then insists on bashing his head against the jagged glass 40 times, that's his problem...
