So the woman screamed, passers by may have intervened and clobbered the cop with a bottle.
"A motorbike taxi driver whom police called back to the scene on Saturday night told them a woman with blood on her clothes had asked to be taken to a police station but he refused."
Why? And would she have wanted to go to the police station if she had killed him?
It would be more likely the Indonesians would frame a couple for murder than to admit one of their finest tried to rape a drunken Aussie woman and died in the process.
There have been rapes and murders of tourists in Bali in the past that were never reported in the press.
And then:
"
According to Mr Sihombing, Mr Taylor has previously said that Ms Connor had complained to him that she had been attacked by a "bad cop" at Kuta Beach on the night Mr Sudarsa was found dead.
"She told him that she was pushed and he lay on top of her on the sand," Mr Sihombing told AAP on Sunday.
"She screamed and there were some people helping her. And then the police officer left."
It is not clear as yet who this "bad cop" allegedly was. http://www.news.com.au/national/bre...r/news-story/eb014e0cd36890010b97197700d21a55
Far as I'm concerned, it would be fit and just to break a bottle over the head of a rapist, cop or not, and if he then insists on bashing his head against the jagged glass 40 times, that's his problem...
