    The laws that have been changed would simply not be tolerated if aimed at the wider community. They are accepted purely because they will not affect non-muslims. If ever used against any non-muslim there will probably be riots in the streets. This is not good at all.

    On the other hand many laws in their favour are simply provocative. I do not believe state schools should pander to religous/cultural differences. School uniform policy is to remove differences of cultural and economic circumstance. If we agree difference should be allowed then ban the uniform all together. For the deeply religous they do have religous schools.

    Muslims have blended in perfectly for many years, no need to suddenly change laws either way because of what has happened in other countries.

    We have over reacted, simply gone OTT. the result seems to be they have become more visible and more entrenched in cultural differences so it has hardly worked too well.
