We had some differences a week or so ago, but I am first to admit that I agree with you on this issue.
I felt there was a deep yearning from those Aussie/Lebanese kids to be accepted.
They are asking us to look beyond their eastern accented speech and appearance and come together as a group of people who who has to survive in this world like the rest of us.
Don't question why these people are here; just accept they are here.
Now, having said that, I felt there is an agreement on their part that they are not bringing baggage from their past to this new future. And, while the jury is out on that one, to a degree I feel that is true.
There are bad kids in every race and every country. But from my experience in coaching soccer at youth representative level, every kid whether he speaks aussie English or a dialect of Aussie - and I tell you even teenage Aussie girls can speak a strange English - they all want to be part of the crowd.
It's up to us to accept them as part of the crowd.
If not they will fight the crowd.
