With just a month left of the resolution of the JV I don't expect any significant Anns till then, and I can't live with the thought of the FBR threads filled with garbage from the trolls (and from those who persist in responding to them).
So. Here is this thread, out of sight from everybody other than you, and we can debate sensibly and politely, using logic and facts.
To ensure no trolls arrive here:
1: do not place any links to this thread from any other thread
2: do not tag anybody not on this thread - unless you are absolutely sure it is not a troll.
3: do not mention this thread anywhere.
This is an experiment and we may have some quiet time until we get discovered (hence the innocuous title for this thread).
I hope that the people here want FBR do well in the future, for many many years, unlike traders who change their sentiment whenever they change their knickers. Hence I encourage constructive discussions/debates.
There are many things to discuss, including valid criticisms if they are supported by facts and good logic. Here are my thoughts on a few:
1: the "DYOR" often stated is very difficult to do because there are tens (or hundreds) of thousands of posts, and a huge number of videos and news articles on FBRs website - but they are not organised. It would be good if we could produce an indexed list of the better posts, videos and articles.
2: there are a number of "issues" with Hadrian's operation that cause a lot of debate. Though they are largely resolved, it would be great to have them listed with their resolutions. Eg:-
- slab not level
- use of wedges (this one I am least happy with)
- tapping blocks into place
- weep holes (not needed for single leaf walls)
- expansion/control joints
- Hadrian doesn't do face brickwork (not yet!)
- glue instead of mortar
- rio
- placing window and door frames
- certification
3: growing the company - various people pointed out that the JV needs about 20hxs for FBR to start making a profit. How long will it take to get there? What offtakes do we need? How quickly will FBR grow once profitable?
4: threats/competition: ICON, SAM? Not likely. System3? This is more likely to be an opportunity - it opens up the possibility that can be achieved with redesigned blocks.
And more.
Hope this thread stays clean - if a troll arrives we will see who brought it. Lets see how long it takes for them to find us.
