This is about starting new threads, Scott, else you can always find a thread already on here that your latest thought bubble would fit into.
Do you really, honestly think that any query you have about AUKUS that is entirely domestic would be worth a whole new thread? If you can think of a discussion topic on AUKUS that is entirely domestic and that you think really needs to be discussed in its own thread, then have at it. Else a thread about AUKUS belongs in the World Politics forum because everything people offer to it will be World in nature. Even if you're a Greenie and are opposed to AUKUS (or at least highly critical), your gripe still belongs in the World Politics forum because your issues with it are international issues, not domestic ones.
If your issue with AUKUS that you thought so important that it required a new thread was that it is say driving a wedge between the Greens and Labor that will need to be resolved blah blah blah, then sure post it in the Politics forum. But don't expect anyone to be interested enough to engage in a discussion about such a minor slice of the AUKUS pie, it's just not worth its own thread.
