I think the business case is to help secure government funding or contracts. I am not sure it is worth it as it seems that QAN will be providing free travel for Yes campaigners. I would think that Qantas should stay out of these debates as consumers have choices and it doesn't help when you polarise yourself. It seems a vanity move by Joyce before he leaves. Rex, Virgin, etc will love this move, especially with polls saying more are against the voice than with it. Doesn't look like the market likes it either with the share price moving down.
