Agree with all that but African govts tend to spend too much time dithering about instead of getting on with the task in hand. South Africa is a classic example. Madiba's death was a tragedy. They needed another 10 years of him. Once he passed the whole place became a quagmire of corruption and indecision.

Many conferences in some of the poshest hotels on earth. Everyone felt good about all the reports, the media articles etc. Yet the country continues its economic decline and the populace's suffering continues. The rich are really very, very rich. The poor resort to crime. What else can they do?


Especially when they are not led by John Wayne
