I’m pretty certain what Lucy Wicks has said isn’t unlawful and would be protected by parliamentary privilege if it were suspected to be.

I also don’t see how it would be in contravention of any ASIC legislation since she doesn’t have any guaranteeing powers over the matter, she’s only re-iterating what Scomo has said in the past in my opinion.

Wicks has a lot of campaigning to do in her electorate since she voted to not discuss the bill, that’s all she’s thinking about and just re-iterating past statements from the PM (IMO)

End of the day this is in the hands of the Nationals Party, and ultimately the decision is up to Barnaby Joyce next to Keith Pitt IMO.
