My best guess is that from an export point of view,which Im sure is what matters most to the powers that be, Uranium is a better opportunity and therefore a more attractive development.
I say this because I reckon you can fit more kilojoules of energy on a boat carrying U than a boat carrying methane.
My thoughts only I dont currently have an interest in either commodity but I too would prefer to see Coal bed methane driving our power stations rather than U.
