Nuke is a real option. I think Australia was told porkie pies by people like that wingnut from Mid night oil. If we let green ideologues run our power debate we will get absolutely screwed. Its all playing out now. If anyone thinks wind and solar can fix everything isn't on this planet. The idea that a political group like the greens could alter global climate is a lie. They are powerless to do anything and have simple used fear to get votes for decades. Their real agender has nothing to do with climate. The country should educate people about nuclear power and then have a vote on it. The politicians don't know what they are doing and never did. Labor have been in power for a few weeks and already they know to turn on the coal and gas pump on or lose their political power. I am thankful they got a majority ( could have been a hung parliament with idiots everywhere) and the country dodged a fatal bullet short term. Industries will shed jobs and take their manufacturing overseas. We will end up buying our oil and gas from the Middle East if the greens got their way. The tax system would be under massive pressure and our balance of payments would balloon. Renewables need to be ahead of the dismantling of coal fired power or slow it down until it can work properly. The idea that we can just turn off coal and gas is stupid and completely false. This has exposed the greens as a fraud they are. Dont vote for Disallowed salesmen like them.
