    I don't normally see my role as someone's unpaid research assistant, but in this case I will help you.

    eith does know a thing or two about gas and electricity demand in Australia having been the representative for both APPEA and then the Electricity Supply Association for decades.

    Now just in case you still have trouble working out where the manufacturing industry uses gas, the majority of it will be for heating and drying. You can sometimes also use electricity for this, but the efficiency of gas is much higher. In some heating duties you can achieve thermal efficiencies of 70%

    You might not like Keith's observations, but at least he has the knowledge and experience to be considered as a serious commentator.
