It doesn’t really worry me if NSW runs out of gas, I don’t live there. But I don’t know of anyone who understands the gas supply dynamics on the Australian east coast who is not concerned about NSW’s future gas supplies.
But there are some people who just can’t take advice when it is offered and dropping a few names does nothing to improve their arguments.
Good old Chuck Yeagar lost his job at BHP after he dropped a couple of billion because he didn’t understand the US gas market dynamics. So rely on his knowledge of the Australian market if you are game (or have very deep pockets).
Misinformation on energy from ill-informed people destroys lives. The people who are most at risk from rising energy prices, due to lack of properly thought out policies, are the vulnerable in society. They become unable to heat their homes and the young, old and infirm simply die or become sick.
So good luck to those in NSW who just want to wing it on the cheapest source of low greenhouse emitting energy – gas.
