If the mortgage interest rates charged by the banks fully reflect any RBA official rate cuts, Perth prices will rebound as Rio and BHP have spent hundreds of millions to upgrade their iron ore proceesing plants in WA. They have invested this money for a good reason - the China story is real. (Also add in all the second tier iron ore miners in WA China has just bought)...
Syd/Melb will start to benefit fully only when the financial crisis subsides and the paper shufflers at the US investment bank subisidiaries working in Syd/Melb start making cash again.
