...You guys flip so hard between "omgosh polls mean nothing" to "LORD ABBOTT IS RETURNING".

Polls are important to take note of, Abbott's poll figures could really not have gotten any worse, so there is absolutely no surprise that it eventually trends back slightly after he does something that the public didn't view as awful.
You'd have to be surprised if he polled even worse.

Also, "Tony Abbott’s personal standing now rivalling his least-bad results"
That wording is hilarious.
