For me one of the attractions of AJX was that they were producing a non-toxic FR product, replacing the toxic existing ones, so I was happy to park my money there, since I expected a good return and a positive contribution to society. Eliminating standard toxic products is especially important to me as members of my family and friends have died from asbestos poisoning, which people profitted from in full knowledge that it kills people (and in an very nasty manner at that).

For me there is no question that bullets are also designed to kill people and that they will be used to that effect. Uniforms for me don't pose such an issue, my family has also been involved in the military and I don't doubt the necessity of having one. However I'm not interested in profiting from producing bullets or guns or whatever. The ex soldiers in my family would equally have been ashamed of me were I to do that and they should know. Ideally the government or army would produce its own to remove the profit incentive to sell (and use) more of them, not that I expect that to occur sadly. Private interests and the military don't mix well.

As for steel, that is a commodity and a very useful and positive material for society in my opinion, no problem for me personally there. But a company that specifically designed steel to be used for bullets, that would be a no for me once again. If AJX were to work with the DoD's ammunitions supplier on developing a polymer to be used in bullets it would be a no for me. I know what bullets are for and I'm not comfortable with making my money that way.
